Mary Ann Tima, DVM

Dr. Tima grew up right here in Strongsville, Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Because she is adventurous and wanted to experience life in Colorado after matriculation, she first worked in Canon City.  After a bit, Ohio called her home as she missed being close to family and all of the gorgeous lakes and metroparks in the Cleveland area.  She currently shares her house with three lovely little "mutts":  a judgemental Beagle, a Yorkie mix, and a tiny toy curly dog that might be a Schnoodle.  Dr. Tima is passionate about giving your pets a calm and happy experience during their visits to the Bartels.  She is also able to incorporate some integrative forms of medicine into her patients' care plans, as she is certified in veterinary acupuncture and is working towards certification in herbal medicine.

If Dr. Tima were not a veterinarian, she would make a pretty good lawyer, but her dream job would be to study and work with endangered wildlife.  She is a very dedicated doctor and often finds herself reading professional journals, but when she needs a book for guilty pleasure, she enjoys historical non-fiction.

She loves, loves, loves to be outside.  She finds something to take her outside in every season:  winter for snowboarding; warm weather for stand up paddling, kayaking, biking and hiking; fall for the beautiful leaves and autumn smells in the air.  Her perfect day is a pipe dream.  She would love snow on an 80 degree day (loves the snow, hates the cold!).
